Abstract

The conventionality and regularity are two aspects of language. The social nature of language is based on conventionality of reference system. Some claim that the origin of regularity is in human innate.If we want to regard language as a system for understanding and communication as both innate and social, how will these two interact with each other? In this paper, based on Islamic philosophy and Principles of jurisprudence, and , we show that, the origin of language is moral intellect and volition and its ontological order is universe of praxis. Understanding of language is not only the perception, rather, the imagination faculty transfer the agent to intentions. In other word, understanding and utterance are volitional acts that colonial faculty is its origin.
