Distinction of the practical wisdom from theoretical and dichotomy between the state discovery and invention of reason.

Abstract

A Study of the different viewpoints on the definition of practical wisdom shows a hidden dispute related to the state of reason. This dispute arises from the question “has the reason in practical wisdom placed in discovery or invention state? By considering the question in the Islamic thought it becomes clear there are double-barreled expositions and pieces of evidence in regard to the definition of practical wisdom in a way that we can't accept absolutely one discoverer or inventor reason and deny the other because every one of them has a worthy advantage. Showing of reality is the main advantage of discover reason and compatibility of practical wisdom domain i.e. the freedom of the human will is the important advantage of inventor reason. therefore, at the result, the author gathers the two states of reason and calls it “invention based on discovery”.
